Experts estimate that nearly one-fourth of those infected with the HIV virus are unaware they are positive.  Many who do get tested, do not return to get the results which can typically take up to two weeks.  But there is now a test which gives results in less than 30 minutes and Matthew 25 offers this free, confidential HIV testing to everyone.  Tests can be performed at our clinics in Henderson, Owensboro and Bowling Green, Kentucky as well as our office in Evansville, Indiana.  In addition, tests are given at area bars and homeless shelters.

One of the most effective and easiest tests now given is the Rapid Oral HIV Test.  An absorbent pad is swabbed around the upper and lower gums and then put in a vial containing a special solution.  Within 20 minutes, the swab will indicate if HIV antibodies are present.
